In the working session, Rostechnadzor’s experts introduced regulations to ensure radiation and nuclear safety for the nuclear electricity factory; select the location and assess external impacts of the environment and techniques; grant the permit for the nuclear electricity factory; share experience in management activities of the nuclear electricity factory. The two parties discussed a specific plan on training for VARANS’s staff in Russia.
Vietnam has selected Russia’s technology for Ninh Thuan Nuclear Electricity Factory No. 1. This working session will promote the research cooperation and the use of Russian legal and regulatory document system, standards and norms in management activities of the nuclear electricity factory in Vietnam.
This is also the opportunity to promote the cooperation between Vietnamese regulatory agency (VARANS) and Russian regulatory agency (Rostechnadzor) in the field of radiation and nuclear safety.
