USNRC’s regulatory delegation to Vietnam this time consisted of Mr. Kirk Foggie, Mr. David Squarer and Mr. Eugene Imbro. In VARANS’s side were representative leaders and staff from Department of Nuclear Safety, Nuclear Control, Legislation and Information, International Cooperation and Center for Technical Supports of Radiation Safety and Incident Response.
Delivering the opening speech at the Workshop, Director Ngô Đặng Nhân emphasized that Vietnam has actively carried out necessary activities to prepare for the inauguration of Ninh Thuan Nuclear Electricity Factory (NEF) 2014, including the development of principles and standards of nuclear safety (NS) to ensure Ninh Thuan NEF’s safety.
