Project "Innovation Partnership Programme” (IPP) is the one funded by the Government of Vietnam and Finland in order to strengthen the National Innovation System (NIS) of Vietnam. Stage 1 of the project has been implemented since 2009 and will be completed in 2013. Working in Vietnam from May 26 to June 08, 2013, the Finnish expert mission had working agenda with agencies under the Ministry of Science and Technology, including the Management Board of Hoà Lạc High-Tech Park.
In the working session, Mr. Nguyễn Trung Quỳnh has introduced with the mission about the general development status of Hoà Lạc High-Tech Park, advantages and preferential treatments enterprises investing in the Park would be entitled. Then Mr. Quỳnh also expressed his desire to understand more about the IPP project which is going to be implemented with Stage 2.
Mr. Heikki K. Auvinen, the leader of the mission has introduced with the Management Board about activities of the program. He paid special emphasis on information technology and communication, activities of enterprise incubation in Vietnam in general and of Hoà Lạc High-Tech Park in particular; highly appreciated roles of Hoà Lạc High-Tech Park in the development of Vietnam’s Science and Technology, creating conditions for High-tech enterprises, scientific research units to have dynamic and favorable development environment, including issues of improving innovation activities. In addition, he also had open sharing about technology enterprises working in Finland, typically Nokia Group.
After the working session, Deputy Director Nguyễn Trung Quỳnh expressed his thanks and highly appreciated the working mission of IPP experts, at the same time he also hoped that Stage 2 of the project would have more success in strengthening innovation in enterprises, offices and knowledge training organizations, research centers in Vietnam as well as in Hoà Lạc High-Tech Park.
