The general objective of the MOU is to provide a framework to further develop and strengthen the radiation and nuclear safety capabilities of Varans. Content of cooperation between the two sides focus on development of legal and regulatory infrastructure for radiation and nuclear safety, development of an Integrated Quality Management System including management, core activity and supporting activity processes and procedures, support for the core regulatory activities of review and assessment, licensing, inspection and training, and other related issues.

Lightbridge has provided consultant services to the UAE Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR).
