The Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Center for Vietnam Science and Technology Internationalization Promotion (VISTIP) and the University of South Australia (UniSA) was held on the November 5th, 2013 at the Headquarter of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam. This MOU shows the common interests of both organizations which support their mutual benefits in fields of high level science research, technology transfer/commercialization and educational capacitiy development in Vietnam.
Within framework of the 23rd ASEAN Summit and the relevant Summits in Brunei from 9 to 10 October 2013, at 9h15, 10 October 2013 today, authorized by H.E. Nguyen Tan Dung, Vietnam Prime Minister, Mr. Pham Binh Minh, Vietnam Minister of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and Mr. John Kerry, Secretary of State, on behalf of the United States of America signed accord of Vietnam - United States Agreement on cooperation in using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes (so called 123 Agreement).
On September 20, 2013, at the office of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Minister Nguyễn Quân met with Mr. Yasuaki Tanizaki, the Japanese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Vietnam to come and say goodbye on the occasion he finishes his term in Vietnam.
In the afternoon of September 13, 2013, at the office of Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) Minister Nguyễn Quân met with Mr. Takebe Tsutomo, Special Advisor of Japan – Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance, who was paying a working visit in Vietnam.
In the afternoon of September 09, 2013 in Hanoi Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Trần Việt Thanh had a meeting and working session with Mr. Kil Choo Moon – Director of Korean Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) in order to discuss about the preparation of feasibility study, master plan on the implementation of V-KIST project, at the same time consider the possibility of establishing a joint Working Group on V-KIST between Vietnam and Korea.
