Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tien met with the President of Poland’s Academy of Sciences

In the afternoon of November 02, 2011, at the Office of Ministry of Scienceand Technology (MOST), Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tien had a courtesy meeting with the President of Poland’s Academy of Sciences Professor Michal Kleiber. Also participating in the meeting was Mr. Roman Iwaszkiewicz, Ambassador of the Republics of Poland in Vietnam.

Affirming that cooperative relations between Vietnam and Poland have been good traditional relations built by leaders and people of the two countries for many years, Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tien highly appreciatedcooperation between the two countries in terms of economic, social, cultural, security, defense aspects, especially the S&T field has achieved encouraging results. However, Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tien said that the two parties haven’t exploited possible cooperation potentials in many fields, including S&T. The Deputy Minister hoped that for the coming time the two parties would promote more, renew cooperative relations in S&T between the two countries.

Agreeing with ideas shared by Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tien, Professor Michal Kleiber emphasized that for the coming time the two parties should invest in existing good traditional friendly relations, S&T of Vietnam and Poland should need close cooperation. Currently, Poland needs high-quality human resource to cooperate in the research field and hopes to have information of Vietnam’s human resource in S&T field.

Deputy MinisterLe Dinh Tien hoped that the two parties would soon conduct joint session to prepare for a new period of cooperation. MOST would support Vietnam’s S&T organizations and scientists in forms of cooperation projects which the two parties do research together.
