Asian Technology Institute highly appreciated Vietnam’s support

On March 30, 2012 in Hanoi Minister of Science and Technology (MOST) Nguyễn Quân had a meeting and working session with General Director of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, Sergei V.Kirienko.

On March 27, 2012, the Management Board of Hòa Lạc High Tech Park – Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and the Information Technology Promotion Agency - IPA (Japan’s Ministry of Economics, Trade and Industry - METI) signed the Agreement of Mutual Acknowledgement on Standards of Information Technology Skills.

In the morning of Mach 21, 2012, in Hanoi took place the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd International Exhibition on recycled and dispersed energy solutions (Enerexpo Vietnam 2012).

On March 16, 2012, at the office of Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) took place the Signing Ceremony of the Agreement between the Government of Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation to bring used nuclear materials of research reactor piles in the Russian Federation.

From March 12 – 16, 2012, the mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) came to work with Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nutrition Safety (VARANS) on reviewing and proposing amendment and supplement of some articles in Law on Atomic Energy (AE) in 2008. Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Lê Đình Tiến chaired the meeting with the mission.

On February 27, 2012, in Hanoi Vietnam’s Minister of Science and Technology (MOST) Nguyen Quan had a meeting and working session with the mission of Ministry of Science and Arts of Saxony State (Federal Republic of Germany) led by Professor Doctor Sabine von Schorlemer – Minister of Science and Arts of Saxony State.

These were ideas shared by member of Vietnam – Hungary Division of Scienceand Technology Cooperation in the working session on February 22, 2012 at the office of Ministry of Science and Technology with the co-chair of two chairmen, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Le Dinh Tien and General Director of Hungary’s Science and Technique Cooperation and Consulting Cooperate Pados Laszlo.

On November 11, 2011, in Hanoi Department of Atomic Energy coordinated with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to organize the Workshop on Developing human resource for the program on nuclear power and nuclear knowledge management. Deputy Minister of Scicen and Technology Le Dinh Tien attended and made the opening speech of the Workshop.

In the afternoon of November 02, 2011, at the Office of Ministry of Scienceand Technology (MOST), Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tien had a courtesy meeting with the President of Poland’s Academy of Sciences Professor Michal Kleiber. Also participating in the meeting was Mr. Roman Iwaszkiewicz, Ambassador of the Republics of Poland in Vietnam.

On November 02 – 04, 2011, in Hanoi, Vietnam’s National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP) coordinated with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Japanese Patent Organization (JPO) to organize the Regional Forum on Cooperative Relations between universities and enterprises in order to promote technology transfer.

On November 02, 2011, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology (MOST) Chu Ngoc Anh had a meeting and working session with Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama –Deputy General Director of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Implementing the Agreement in the 5^th session of Vietnam – South Korea Mixed Committee (MC) on Science and Technology, on November 1, 2011, the 6^th session of Vietnam – South Korea MC was organized in Hanoi Capital. Mr. Mai Ha –Director of the Department of International Cooperation, MOST and Mr. Seong Geun Bae –Director of the Department of InternationalCooperation, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, South Korea co-chaired the session.

On October 27, 2011, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology (MOST) Lê Dinh Tien had a meeting with Mr. Palvo Sultarskyi – Ukraine’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam.

In the 20^th anniversary of ASEAN – China partner – dialogue relations, the first year ASEAN– China Free Trade Area has been officially established and two years since the Memorandum of Understanding on standards, technical specifications, appropriateness assessment between ASEAN –China (in short called TBT/MOU) was signed (October 2009), on October 22, 2011, in Nanning (China), the first ASEAN– China Ministerial-level Meeting on Cooperation in the field of technical barriers to trade (TBT) was organized.
